The Mexican Mint is responsible for the coining of the Mexican Silver Libertad coins. Issued in 1982, the Silver Libertad coin is based upon the gold Centenario. The Centenario coins were gold pesos issued by the Mexican Mint in 1921 to celebrate 100 years of independence and brought the image of Winged Victory to national coinage as a reminder of one of the country’s greatest symbols from its revolutionary war.
All 2018 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad coins in this listing are available in perfect condition from the NGC.
